Spinal Decompression Traction
At Vaughan Spine + Sport Therapy, we use the Eurotech DOC Spinal Decompression Table for chronic and/or severe cases of lower back pain and neck disorders. By providing a gentle computer-driven traction force to the low back or neck, spinal decompression targets the spinal discs and joints and comfortably unloads the spine.
Spinal decompression can be used for the following problems:
- Disc herniation (neck and low back)
- Degenerative disc disease and joint degeneration
- Nerve root irritation and sciatica
- Mild to moderate spinal stenosis
- Chronic facet syndrome
At our clinic, our spinal decompression protocol involves an initial trial of 10 sessions to evaluate your individual response to the therapy. Appointments vary in time from 20-35 minutes. Although we cannot guarantee results, we carefully screen out those who we feel will benefit from this form of care. We will typically recommend an integrated care approach that may include a combination of therapies in conjunction with spinal decompression to maximize the therapeutic effect.
